CARING IS
WHAT WE DO BEST
Liberty Support Services
We at Liberty Support Services support people with complex needs. Individual’s needs may include behaviours of concern, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.
We aim to provide a supported living environment and a long-term home for the people we support, where neurodiversity and the strengths this brings are respected and understood, ensuring the people we support achieve their optimum quality of life and are a part of their local community. We understand and embrace that we cannot support people in isolation from their families and the communities in which they live as they play an intrinsic part in their lives
WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP
Liberty Support Services have three branch offices based in Oldham, Cheshire and West Midlands. From these branches, we deliver services within the local communities in a range of different settings, be this the individuals own home or the family home. We work with people who have a learning disability and/or autism and present with complex needs by providing them with staff who are specifically trained and allocated to meet their needs therapeutically.
our aim
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUPPORT WORKER IN LIBERTY SUPPORT'S COMPLEX SERVICES.
Hi! My name is Jamira, I have worked with Liberty Support Services for nearly 18 months now. I’m a Support Worker in one of Liberty’s Complex Supported Living Services, this means we support people who have behaviours of concern (challenging behaviours). I work with a chap called JH, love working with him, he’s so energetic and expressive. It’s about so much more than making sure someone does the basics, it’s about making everyday count. Whilst routine is important to J, it doesn’t mean he will do the same thing every day! We work together to offer as much variety as possible, we have a PBS Coordinator who supports us to support J and understand his communication needs and what his behaviours are telling us.

You can safely say that no two days are ever the same! The people we support are our priority and they set the agenda for their day. We work on a Positive Behaviour Support model, so we get to know the people we support as well as their families. It’s a privilege to be able to support people in a such a way that they live their best life.
